Infrabel
Infrabel is a public limited company established in 2005 as part of the reform of the Belgian railways aimed at promoting free competition. As the manager of Belgium's railway infrastructure, Infrabel is responsible for the construction, maintenance, and development of the national railway network.
The company has approximately 9,500 employees and is structured into three main divisions:
- Customer & Business Excellence : focused on customer experience and operational excellence.
- Operations : responsible for the day-to-day management of rail operations.
- Procurement, Production & Supply Chain : responsible for purchasing, production, and the supply chain.
These departments are supported by four general services: Finance & Business Administration, HR & Organisation, Strategy & Corporate & Public Affairs, et Information & Communication Technology.
Infrabel is also involved in projects aimed at improving the safety, punctuality, and capacity of the Belgian rail network. The company regularly conducts safety awareness campaigns on the network and works closely with various rail companies, including SNCB, to ensure an efficient and reliable service.
